The News of Gunshot being fired at the Presidential Villa had left many Nigerians worried, and also the Presidency has now reacted to the safety breach. According to our reports, the shots were fired when the First Lady’s Aide-de-camp, Usman Shugaba, attempted to force Press.
The encounter was said to own degenerated into a heated argument as he insisted he wasn’t the sole aide to visit Lagos saying that the new Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, is in Lagos every weekend till he settles in Abuja, and wondered why the ethical code requiring his self isolation for visiting his own wife who just delivered a brand new baby.
His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari’s special assistant, Sabiu Yusuf was almost forced into self-Isolation over the fear of spreading Coronavirus.
The Gunshots were later fired by the First Lady’s ADC in an endeavor to apprehend Sabiu, who allegedly had to breach walls to endure his life and escape to the nearby apartment of Mamman Daura who’s His Excellency’s Cousin were he spent the night.
It was gathered that the military officer of Police, Mohammed Adamu, later ordered the arrest of the Aide-de-camp to the primary lady and every one the safety aides that accompanied her to Sabiu’s residence. Giving more light on the incident, Garba Shehu, who’s an official Spokesperson to the President of the Federal Republic of Ngeria wrote on his official Twitter handle stating;
“The Presidency wishes to acknowledge concerns expressed by several members of the general public regarding the recent incident among the occupants of the state house which escalation led to the arrest of some staff by the Police.
This is to assure everyone that the president and the Command-in-chief of the soldiers, @MBuhari, is not, and wasn’t at anytime in any style of danger arising, either from deadly infections or the reported incident by security personnel which is currently under investigation Healthforbes Media reporting.
This particular incident happened outside the main residence of the President.
Armed Guards and other security personnel assigned to the State House receive the necessary training of especially weapons handling and where they come short, their relevant agencies have their rules and regulations to instantly address them.
Having authorised the correct investigation to be dispensed into this unfortunate incidence by the police, the president has acted in compliance with the rule of law.
That a minor occurence is being employed by some critics to justify attacks on the govt and also the person of President Muhammadu Buhari beggars belief. In This particular issue, The President Says the law should be allowed to require its course.”
