Roy Hodgson, The Crystal Palace Manager, has disclosed that Ivory Coast forward Wilfried Zaha is currently self-isolating after he had been tested positive for COVID-19.
On Monday, as a result of his self-isolating, Zaha had been reportedly missing from the Palace squad for their Premier League match at Burnley.
“He has tested positive unfortunately for COVID-19 so he is self-isolating, and is awaiting the results of the next test,” Hodgson reported.
“He is not feeling particularly ill, but unfortunately the test proved positive and he is following the guidelines and procedures.”
Zaha’s absence is a huge blow to Palace after his fine start to the season.
Five successful goals has been scored by the 28-year-old and he has also provided two assists for Hodgson’s team.
He was due to make his 200th Premier League appearance in the Burnley match, but will be sidelined for the length of his self-isolation.
