Tragedy in the early hours of today Thursday the 21st May 2020 as a tanker suddenly ran into a moving commercial bus and a car on the Otedola bridge, along Ibadan Expressway, with one casaulty who’s a female unidentified while others sustained injuries in the incident, Healthforbes Media reporting.
According to our source, an infant was among the victims in the tragedy incident causing a chaotic traffic on the Otedola bridge in Lagos State metropolis this morning.
The crash occurred at around 9:30am this morning. Some inward Berger at the Lagos Ibadan Expressway and motorists who were standing stranded in the attendant gridlock used another routes to get to their destinations.
The registration numbers of the vehicles involved are; A volkswagen car: AAA 722 FU and the bus, Mazda, KJA 581 XL, while the tanker could not be ascertained during the time of press.
An eyewitness explained that the tanker driver was said to have faile brake and was on higher speed with filled premium motor spirit also known as petrol.
Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu who’s the Director-General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) was contacted at about 10am, said to have confirmed that the incident has been taken cared of by removing all the accidented vehicles from the road in other to create moving space for other vehicles.
The DG stated that ” Upon the arrival of LASEMA, response team, LRT at the scene, it was discovered that a tanker loaded with PMS rammed into a bus and a car, Healthforbes Media reporting.
“Two adults sustained severe injuries, the Agency’s officials attended to them before they rushed to trauma center for treatment.

“Sadly enough as an adult female lost her life at the spot and her corpse has been deposited at the mortuary even though her remains is unidentified yet.
“The Agency’s light tow truck has been used to recover three affected vehicles from the road side.
Dr Femi added that an investigation into the immediate and remote cause of the tragedy has been carried out.
