Latest News In Nigeria: The President of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has declared the immediate ease of the lockdown imposed on Kano State as part of measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
This was made known by The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, at the daily Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing on Monday.
He added that the phase one of the eased lockdown will be introduced.
He said“The president has approved easing of the total lockdown of Kano State and introduction of Phase One of the Eased Lockdown”.
Buhari in an address to the nation on April 27, had ordered a two weeks lockdown in the North West state.
He subsequently extended the lockdown by another two weeks.
As of 31st May,2020 The Nigeria Center for Disease control has reported that Kano state has a total of 954 cases in the country.
The entire Nation has 10,162 total confirmed cases, 3007 patients discharged, 287 lives claimed by the Deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 63882 samples has been collected and tested across the country Healthforbes Media reporting.
