As the search for the perpetrators of the Kidnap of Pa Defwan Dariye is on going,as reported by the Plateau State Police Command,a close relative disclosed that the kidnappers demanded for 100 million Naira ransom.The over 90 years old Pa Defwan,who is the father of the former Governor of Plateau State,Joshua Dariye,was kidnapped in his residence on Thursday 18th Of May,2020 in Mushere Community of bokkos Local Government Plateau State.
Mr Ubah Ogaba who is a spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command,said, “No, We have not seen him. But our men and officers who were deployed immediately after his abduction are still searching for him.”
But a source closely related to the former Governor,Joshua Dariye,said that the kidnappers had made contact with the family members and demanded for N100 million ransom.
The source said, ” The former Governor is not happy about the kidnap of his father for the second time. They (kidnappers) have made contact with the family and they are demanding the sum of N100 million as a ransom”.
