The 2 individual that tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday in Kano State were not part of the contacts of the index case, mallam Muhammad Garba who’s the present Kano’s State commissioner for information hinted this statement.
The commissioner discloses that the patients and all those that came in contacts with them have all been identified and moved to Kano’s state isolation centre. though there was no details of the 2 patients.
The Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is currently in a meeting with some stakeholders about the coronavirus pandemic and its resolvement to curtail the spread of the Kano state COVID 19.
Dr, Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa whos currently the commissioner of Health on Monday on his official twitter account confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Kano State but didnt provide details.
We all recalled that on Saturday Kano state confirmed the index case in the state.
The Governor who confirmed the new case said the index case is a 75-years-old former Ambassador who returned to the state from Abuja and Lagos.
The 3 cases at the diagnosis centre at Kwanan-Dawakiare currently receiving medical treatment at the state isolation centre. The States task force committee on COVID-19 are expected to collaborate with christain religion leaders and the chief Imam’s of Juma’at mosques gatherings in order to debate on how to operate the places of worships in order to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus. Rumours were heard that the state government may announce a total lockdown for 2-weeks to avert further spread of the coronavirus within Kano citizens. Banning of tricycle riders from carrying more than one passenger and trans-boundary movements were among the precautionary measures earlier announced by the Kano state government.
