The Governor who is concerned about hardship the people in Kano are facing during the total lock down added that; “we are making this appeal on behalf  of our people who are presently running out of food items. we would love the federal government to relax the lockdown for a period of time to enable people stock their homes, especially now that majority of us are fasting t will also ease the economic  hardship in the state”.As at Thursday night, the Nigeria Centre For Disease control(NCDC) reported 80 new cases, 219 confirmed cases, five deaths, with no single number of recoveries.
Governor Ganduje also rejects the hospital his Predecessor,Sen.Rabiu Kwankwaso donated to be used as an isolation center for the COVID-19 Infected Patients. However, the kwankwasiyya movement took it to twitter that Governor Ganduje is playing politics with people’s lives by refusing to accept  the donation.
There was a mixed reaction on twitter as one wrote,”If that’s true, then it’s too bad. I thought they have settled their differences considering the esteemed regards people have for them.”
Another user rose in defense of Governor Ganduje, saying that the Kwankwasiyya Movement was a hypocrite for playing politics with everything.
According to him, Kano does not lack isolation centre, adding that the state needs testing laboratories at the moment.
He said: “[Kwankwasiyya Movement are] original hypocrites, playing politics in everything thing.
