Governor of Kano State, Dr, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has relaxed the lockdown rules in Kano state from 6:00am on Thursday to 12:00am on Friday.This unlock is as a result of the approaching Ramadan coming in some couple of days.
According to Governor Ganduje, the movement was to allow people prepare adequately for the approaching Ramadan fasting to stock their homes with foods and other relevant edibles.
The move, according to the governor, was to allow people prepare adequately for the approaching Ramadan fast.
He said, “Probably, we are giving a grace period of some hours so that people would be able to do some purchases because of Ramadan that is coming up probably on Friday.
Kano State has reported 73 confirmed cases so far of the novel Coronavirus with one death record in Kano news.
However, in recent days over 150 persons have been reported to have died from a malaria like ailment in Kano state.
