Many may say that the law of Karma has taken its place as Engr.Mu’azu Magaji, The Former Commissioner of Works and Infrastructural development of Kano State, who was sacked by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for celebrating the death of the elder statesman and the Former Chef Of Staff to the President of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, has tested positive for the Coronavirus.
This report given by the Nigeria Center For Disease Control, Kano has raised series of reactions and comments on social media, because Mr Magaji became very popular across the country after he posts some comments which were perceived to be celebratory concerning the death of late Kyari.
Engr.Mu’azu who flaunted the news of the death of the Late Chief Of Staff on his Facebook Page, with celebratory captions, stated that his posts were rather misunderstood and he would never mock or celebrate the death of the elder statesman publicly, He said;
“As a Muslim and a patriotic Nigerian,I was only misunderstood by the people,to have thought that I was mocking Kyari’s death,the truth is I never did”.
However, whether he was misunderstood or not, Governor Ganduje sacked him and the reasons for his dismissal from office were clearly stated by the state’s Commissioner of Information, Muhammed Garba as he said; Mr Magaji was dismissed from office for “unguarded utterances against the former Chief Of staff, Late Abba Kyari.
Kano State still maintains her place as the state with the second highest number of total confirmed cases in the country as at 6th May, 2020, as reported by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Kano had 30 new cases ,427 total confirmed  cases. The number of patients discharged, marks a number of six people but with 13 deaths by the Coronavirus pandemic.
