The statement said;”1. Earlier today my team and i was invited to the headquarters of the Operation Safe Haven in Jos, Nigeria.
” The OPSH intelligence team had gotten our contact details from the post we made on different social media platforms with regards to the planned citizens rally demanding “#JusticeForRinji who was brutally murdered by a trigger happy Personnel attached to Operation Safe Haven.
” We were received by the Chief of Staff to the Commander OPSH, Brigadier General Sakaba in company of the Deputy commander who is a deputy commissioner of police along side other top officials of OPSH.
“After much discussion that lasted for few hours, we agreed to cancel the planned rally scheduled to hold on Saturday 16th of May 2020 with the following reasons:
” It will not be the best of time to hold such rally because of the current Covid 19 issue faced in the state.
“We do not want to break the social distancing law existing on the plateau thereby solving one problem and creating another.
” We cannot guarantee the safety of lives and public properties if this citizens Mass rally is allowed to hold hence we don’t want hoodlums to highjack the process as been feared by security agencies.
“We all agreed that the press conference with the family of Rinji will not be cancelled, however it will be strictly by invitation and the venue will be made only to invited participants.

“Lastly, we gave the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) a 7 day ultimatum to conclude their investigation and hand over the murderer to the Nigerian Police for Immediate prosecution.
“Finally, we have concluded plans with the Nigerian Bar Association NBA and the National Human Right Commission NHRC to sue OPSH.
“We further wish to appeal to Citizens of Plateau State to remain calm as we seek #JusticeForRinji”.
