Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100 level student of the department of Microbiology, University of Benin was and brutally murdered inside one of the Redeemed Christain Church of God, Miracle Sanctuary Mega Parish, Edo Province 10, Ikpoba Hill area in Benin City on 27th May 2020 while studying her books in preparation for resumption after the COVID-19 national lockdown.
Her Head was smashed with a fire extinguisher by the assailants who forced their way into the church which left her with internal bleeding as she was rushed to the University Of Benin Teaching hospital were she passed on.
The Edo State police Command said they have commenced a thorough investigation on the killing and sexual abuse on the innocent 100-level student of the University Of Benin.
The church security guard, who just resumed duty wanted collecting the keys to the church when he noticed someone was already inside, he found Miss Uwa in a pool of blood, he rushed out to seek for help and she was immediately taken to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
Miss Uwa didnt recover from her unconsciouness until she was confirmed dead on Saturday Healthforbes Media reporting
The Incident was reported at the Oregbeni Police Station.
