The Nation’s Capital, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration has ordered schools to reopen on the 11th October.
It stated there will be no third term and guidelines guiding owners of private schools against requesting the third term fees.
This was disclosed in Abuja on Thursday, Mallam Muhammad Bello, who is the Minister of FCT said boarding students would resume on Sunday while full academic activities will commence on Monday the 12th October 2020.
“There is no third term; private schools should not demand third term school fees,” he added.
Bello explained that the nation’s capital did not report any case amid the reopening of schools for exit classes and was optimistic that officials and pupils would ensure compliance with COVID-19 regulations and guidelines once the schools reopen.
“Be vigilant, strict and rigid in the implementation of COVID-19 protocols for the safety of our children and ourselves as we reopen schools; nothing should be taken for granted- Bello instructed school proprietors.
