The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, (NCDC) has announced via its official Tweeter handle that there are 5-new cases of C0VID-19 on the Plateau as at 15th May 2020 6:04am, there are 20 Confirmed total cases of the novel Coronavirus on the Plateau with 4 recovered patients after receiving treatments from health experts and they have tested twice negatively before being discharged, Healthforbes Media reporting.
However there are total of 5,162 confirmed cases in Nigeria with 1,180 recovered patients and discharged successfully after treatments from health experts and testing negatively twice with 167 deaths in Nigeria as at 14th May 2020 193 new cases in Nigeria were Confirmed.
If we recall on May 7th Plateau index case was discharged by the Plateau State Government from one of its Isolation Centres at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
The discharged index case was confirmed positive to the novel Coronavirus on April 23, 2020 after a test was carried out on April 17th Healthforbes Media reporting..
Mr Nathan Shehu who’s the consultant Physician for Infectious Disease at the University Of Jos Teaching Hospital ,JUTH was said to have confirmed the recovery and discharged of the patient saying the treatment from health experts was successful.
Mr Nimkong Ndam, whos Plateau State Commissioner for Health said last week wednesday to journalists that 2-tests were conducted on the index case with both results coming out negative.
