Fidelity Bank Plc have just donated a sum of Ten million Naira to the Plateau State Government, as its quota to help the state Government curtail the spread of the coronavirus and also to provide palliatives to the masses affected, as it is said,”if you are not infected, you are affected” Healthforbes Media reporting.This good news was reported in a press statement signed by the Director of Press and Public affairs to the Plateau State Governor, Dr.Makut Simon Macham.
According to the press statement, the North Central Head of the Bank, Mr.Sadi Zumaya, presented the Donation to the Governor of Plateau state, His Excellency Simon Bako Lalong.
The statement read; “Fidelity Bank on Wednesday 20th May 2020 donated 10 million naira to Plateau State Government as part of its contribution to the fight against Corona Virus Pandemic.
“The North Central Regional Head of the Bank, Mr. Sadi Zuwaya presented the cheque to Governor Simon Bako Lalong at the Government House, Rayfield Jos.
“He explained that the bank deems it fit to support Plateau State despite its earlier contribution through the Federal Government because of the existing cordial relationship it has with the Government.
“Governor Lalong appreciated the gesture and said it will go a long way in assisting the Government to improve the response to the challenge posed by COVID-19 especially now that the State is recording more cases”.
The cases of Coronavirus is on the increase in Plateau State as reported by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, as at wednesday night, Plateau State have 7 new Cases, total of 10 patients discharged, 57 confirmed cases with one casualty of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic Healthforbes Media reporting.
