An index case in Kazaure Local Government Area Of Jigawa State whose daughter a six-years old girl tested positive for Coronavirus earlier today Wednesday the 6th May 2020.
Dr Abba Zakari who’s the chairman of the Task Force on COVID-19 and the state’s Commissioner for Health in Dutse, the State Capital.
Out of the 18- Samples collected from the contact tracing of the Kazaure index case, only the daughter of the indexed case tested positive for COVID-19 which is the six-year-old girl, Dr Abba said.
The Commissioner said the six-year-old girl would soon join her father at the state’s Isolation Centre, added that there are other 32 new cases confirmed in Jigawa State.
Jigawa State has 72 total number of infected COVID-19 patients, Healthforbes Media reports.
Yesterday Tuesday, 5th of May, Nigeria recorded 148 confirmed new cases of COVID-19 making it a total of 2,950 infected personels.
