BREAKING NEWS: 381 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), announced last night thursday 7th May 2020 that there were 381 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria Healthforbes Media reports for Nigera’s COVID-19 Cases.

There were records of 3526 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 601 discharged patients after maximum treatments from health experts and they all tested negative twice before they were discharged to their individual homes.

The total death number in Nigeria as at 7th May is 107 Healthforbes Media reports. The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control also advised that we adhere to precautionary measures by taking responsibilities and obeying rules and regulations by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Federal Government.

The breakdown of the infected States is as follows:

183 confirmed new cases in Lagos, 55 confirmed new cases in Kano, 44 confirmed new cases in Jigawa, 19 confirmed new cases in Zamfara, 19 confirmed new cases in Bauchi, 11 confirmed new cases in Katsina, 9 confirmed new cases in Borno, 8 confirmed new cases in Kwara State, 77 confirmed new cases in Kaduna State, 6 confirmed new cases in Gombe State, 5 confirmed new cases in Ogun State, 4 confirmed new cases in Sokoto State, . 3 confirmed new cases in Oyo State, 3 confirmed new cases in River State, 2 confirmed new cases in Niger State, 1 confirmed new cases each in Akwa Ibom State, Enugu State and Plateau State the home of peace Healthforbes Media reports.

The 381 new cases is recorded the highest Nigeria has ever confirmed and recorded within 24hours since the onset of the novel Coronavirus in Nigeria. Lagos has remained the epicentre of the novel virus in Nigeria with a total of 1,491 confirmed cases out of 3,526 across Nigeria.

At the moment 22,492 samples is being tested in Nigeria in an ongoing campaign against the deadly novel Coronavirus, which is lesser than the Casaulties in Ghana and South-Africa that have both conducted over 100,000 and 200,000 testings. With South-Africa increase in its daily testings to 10,000 per day Healthforbes Media reports.
