The Federal Government has announced the putting on hold the scheduled of the resumption of the federal schools.
The federal government has also hindered Nigeria students from taking part in the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations that was initially fixed for August 4th to September 5th.
Adamu Adamu who’s the Minister of Education announced this to the State House Correspondents at the closing of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council Presided over by His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari.
Adama Adamu restated that Federal schools would remain closed until safety is assured before it is reopened.
The Minister also instructed State Governments that disclosed the reopening of schools to cancel such plans.
He added that the West African Examinations Council can not determine the reopening dates of schools for Nigeria Students.
The Minister said he will prefer Nigeria Students loosing an academic session than exposing them all to the contagious novel Coronavirus.
