[BREAKING] Eid-el Kabir: FG Declares Thursday, Friday As Public Holiday

To Mark the Celebration of Eid-el Kabir 2020, FG has declared Thursday 30th July and Friday 31th as Public Holiday, Heathforbes  Media reporting.

This was contained in a signed statement on Tuesday made by Georgina Ehuria who’s the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of interior.

The statement was titled ” Federal Government Declares 30th and 31st July 2020 Public Holiday To Mark Eid-el- Kabir Celebration.

The Minister Of Interior Rauf Aregbesola according to a Statement while making a declaration on behalf of the Federal Government congratulated Muslims faithful and all Nigerians both at home and abroad in the occasion.

The minister called on Muslims to imbibe the spirit of love,joy, kindness and sacrifices as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammad( Peace be upon him) and to utilize the period to pray for peace,unity, prosperity and the stability of the country especially as the world is faced with global health challenges that posed threats to everyone caused by the novel Coronavirus..he added

Rauf had earlier assured Nigerians that Buhari’s regime is committed to battle the scourge with the cooperation of Nigerians.

He emphasised that the government will continue to foster peaceful c0existence, national cohesion and stability in its march towards actualizing the full potentials of the country”.

The Minister while stating his wishes for Muslims to have a faithful happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration, he encourages Muslims and Nigerians to take responsibility to halt the spread of the novel virus by adhering to the NCDC and WHO guidelines such as observing social distancing, respiratory and personal hygiene as well as other regulations issued by authorities.
