Alhaji Yusuf Bayero, who’s the Dan Iyan of Kano State is dead.
Healthforbes Media reported that Alhaji Yusuf Bayero died yesterday night which was 9th May 2020 on a Saturday.
Before his death, he was the acting district head of Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano State Metropolis.
Although the cause of his death is yet to be made known to the public, the 87-year-old will be buried according to Islamic rites today Sunday the 10th May 2020.
The monarch’s death came amid series of the upswing deaths that has been reported in Kano State Metropolis.
Kano State had lost prominent persons since the pandemic of the novel Coronavirus in the state which is the most populated state in the northern part of Nigeria.
Controversy had greeted the alleged death of over 600 people reportedly died amid the COVID-19 including the Emir of Rano, Dr Tafida Abubakar Ila II, who died after a brief illness.
