The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control,(NCDC) announced via its official tweeter handle yesterday the 20th May 2020 at 11:40pm that there are 7-new cases of the deadly virus on the Plateau, making it a total of 57 COVID-19 cases in Plateau State.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control,(NCDC) also advised that only the wearing of face mask cant protect us from the novel Coronavirus, they further advised that face mask should be won with physical distancing, hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and cleaning of surfaces Healthforbes Media reporting.
As at today May 21st 2020 at 5:30am there are 57 confirmed cases in Plateau State.
Yesterday His excellency the governor of Plateau State, Bar Simon Bako Lalong presided over an emergency EXCO meeting to discuss efforts so far in tackling COVID-19.
“The State shall soon have another COVID-19 testing Centre, awaiting accreditation by the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, (NCDC)- Governor Simon Lalong.
A pattern for total lockdown in Plateau State has been relaxed to midnight of every Thursday till Sunday midnight when it will resume. The inter-local government movement is still restricted except for essential workers.
All borders into Plateau State shall remain closed except for essential services that have been exempted.
