The Academic Staff Union of Universities,ASUU,University of Jos chapter has constructed and donated 1,000 capacity twin lecture theatre in order to boost academic activities in the institution.The N63.2 million worth theatre was donated to the management of the University of Jos yesterday by members of the union for further use upon resumption from the COVID-19 shutdown.
The Chairperson of University of Jos ASUU,Dr.Lazarus Maigoro,Speaking at the presentation ceremony, said despite the face off with the federal government over the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) which has made them not to receive salaries for several months now, they were still able to task themselves in order to construct the twain lecture Hall.
