Access Bank To Cut Staff’s Salaries To Secure Their Jobs

Access Bank Plc, which is also known as Access bank is a Nigerian Multinational commercial bank. Salaries are being cut by Access Bank Plc to avoid job losses by their employee’s as a lockdown to curtail the spread of the combat to halt the novel Coronavirus.

According to Healthforbes Media, the reduction of their salaries will take effect as from this month May except there’s a positive change in the business growth. However according to some people who asked not to be identified since they are not authorised to speak publicly said some management will get 40% decrease of their payments.

An official staff from the Lagos state Access Bank management declined a statement saying Nigerian Bankd are facing pre-recession as threats are already facing them as the rise of bad-debt levels as there’s crash in oil firms and the naira devaluation risk poses a shuttered business as COVID-19 pandemib concides.

Access bank which was founded the year 1989, with its headquarter located at Apapa Lagos with its CEO Mr Herbert Wigwe has a total number of employees in the number of 28,121 proactive workers. Access Bank has its subsidiaries as Access Bank Ghana, Access Bank Zambia, Access Bank Gambia and other Africa Countries.
