Some Almajiri boys which were said to be 16 in numbers from Kano State news have tested positive to the novel Coronavirus in Kaduna state, bringing it to the total add up of Almajirai, who were confirmed positive for the coronavirus in Kano state metropolis to the tally of 21.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had on Wednesday reported 17 new cases from Kaduna State metropolis but Dr. Amina Mohammed-Baloni who’s the State Commissioner for Health on Thursday said the actual number of new cases in Kaduna was 16 as the 17th case was a repeated test from an already-existing case and said the attention of the Nigeria Centre for Disease (NCDC) has been brought to the state government of Kaduna State on Monday.

Dr Amina added that the five confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus recorded from the state had been Almajiri boys, who were repatriated from Kano State.
Dr. Amina, affirmed that the trial result for the 16 Almajiri reported cases from Kano state metropolis had became positive from a sample of tally number of 40 persons. Dr Amina restated that the latest case has push up to the number of functional Coronavirus cases in the state surged from 9 to 25.
“The high gush of positive reported results from individuals with travel narratives from outside the state established that the Kaduna State Government’s are terrified about the danger of contamination from neighbouring states and the position of inter-state travel in facilitating the spread of COVID-19 across state lines,” she added.

The Commissioner restated that as part of the implementation of the preventive measures, health officials are monitoring suspected Coronavirus cases who are believed to have sneaked into Kaduna state despite the ban on interstate travel.
However, the state government on Monday announced that the 5 recorded cases of Coronavirus recorded from the state had been Almajiri boys, who were sent back from Kano State.
6-patients in Kaduna State were discharged after treatment who were recovered from the disease including His Excellency Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
