1 person was confirmed dead and 11 injured in a fatal road accident which happened in Jos road accident, Plateau State Capital on Saturday the 6th May 2020.
According to eyewitness, the accident occured around 11am when a truck was seen losing control loaded with petrol at the Polo Roundabout, Jos and rammed into lots of vehicles Healthforbes Media reporting.
Mr Andrew who’s the Federal Road Safety Corps Public Education Officer Of Plateau State said the injured victims had been rushed to one of the hospitals in Plateau State for urgent treatment while the corpse has been deposited in a morgue.
The accident was blamed on mechanical fault which led to the truck’s brake failure.

Andrew said, “A total of 12 people, 11 vehicles which include 7-tricycles, a tanker and 3-cars were all involved in the accident. The tanker was loaded with petrol when it rammed into the other vehicles because it failed break.
Sadly, 1 male adult died, 11 others comprising 1 child, 2 males and 8 females, sustained injuries. They were all rushed to the hospital,
Mr Bala advised motorists to observe cautions and always conduct routine checks on their vehicles to prevent unnecessary loss of lives just like the one male adult that died in today’s Jos accident.
